Just had them do our exterior in mid-October. James had come by to assess
and give an estimate. He was friendly and professional, and explained everything
fully. Johnny and Pak did the work – two guys over 5 days. They were EXCELLENT. Polite and professional. They worked very quietly, and kept the property clean even WHILE they were working, not just cleaning up at the end. We love the job they did. Great attention to detail – they covered and cleanly outlined all our non-painted decorative trim. They did the windowsills a separate color. The edges all look great, and clean and straight. I’m very happy I went with this company. It was painless, and the results are better than we wanted.

attention to our wooden window sills. Pointed out and repaired some minor
termite damage. Appreciated his thoughts and recommendations on stain color options. Several months later and it still looks sharp.

Mr. Lee’s team did the best prep work I’ve ever seen, and that is the key to a
great paint job. When some replacements ran late (new gutters and screens), he
scheduled a return visit to finish 3 weeks after the original work. This is a first-rate operation, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Mr. Lee and his crew came out and painted the entire exterior of the house.

Things went well from the beginning: Mr. Lee was there even before I got there and gave me a quick quote. He explained everything that needed to be done from the prep work to choosing the color of the paint. He was very professional and had lots of positive reviews. It took a while for me to determine a date to start but Mr. Lee was very patient; he never pressured me to act.

His crew, which included his sons, were very professional and arrived ready to go. Everything went smoothly, exactly as Mr. Lee said it would. They worked very hard as there was much work to be done.

Mr. Lee and his sons were out there all week, working hard, sanding and prepping the house and cleaning it with water before any paint was applied. They did an extremely thorough job, filling in cracks and sanding the rough wood surfaces. I’ve seen houses being painted here and there but I’ve never noticed anyone actually prepping a house to paint like Mr. Lee and his sons.

Before any paint was applied I got to choose from a range of colors and since Mr. Lee didn’t have those particular colors on hand he actually made a special (and rather quick) trip to purchase the ones I had selected and applied a sample of each to the wall so I could see which one worked best.

When the paint was finally applied to the house it looked dramatically different! It was quite nice! Even a neighbor strolling through took notice :) It was as if the house got the spa treatment: it was a brand new house (no exaggeration)!

I would highly recommend Mr. Lee and House Painting to anyone interested in having their house painted: he is professional, thorough, hard-working and has the credentials to back up his expertise. He was responsive to concerns I had and patiently answered my questions of which there were many. He didn’t just paint the house but really took care of the house and got it ready to be painted. I know that his work will last a long time. Should I have any painting needs in the future I will call him again.

Prepped and painted my mother’s home in Glendale.  The house had not been painted properly in many years.  There was much sanding and other prep work required.  The total price included $300 of carpentry work to repair some dry rot.

I had James Lee, the owner come over and give me a bid.  He was very complete with his company information Once the job started, Andrew and his co-workers prepped the house for three days.  They were hard workers and very professional.  When a problem developed, Andrew was very good at explaining my different options.  The whole job was done in 5 days and the house looks beautiful.

We hired House Painting, Inc. to sand, primer, prep, and paint the trim and railing around our house and front porch, and the railing, posts, steps and flooring of the back deck. They provided pictures of the finished work, which looked good. Only the test of time will reveal if the job was truly done correctly. But they stand behind their work and were quick to respond to my questions about the job. Easy to reach and easy to talk to.

Full Exterior House Painting

Excellent company!  I highly recommend them.
Recently, I had insulation blown into the walls of my 1939 house in Altadena.  As part of the work, the technicians had to drill through the exterior stucco about every 3 feet, in both the upper and lower sections, followed by patching the holes.  So, the exterior of my house looked like swiss cheese when they were done.  Unfortunately, the insulation guys didn’t do a very good job with the stucco patches, so I knew I’d need a very good painter to make my house look good again.
Two different friends recommended James Lee (House Painting Inc.), so I looked him up on Angie’s List as well as Yelp and saw all the glowing reviews.  I called for an estimate and got the response, “we can come by this afternoon if you are available” – talk about prompt service.  Mr. Lee walked the exterior, we discussed the level of stucco repair/clean-up needed, and he provided me a more-than-reasonable estimate on the spot.  I was so pleased with the reviews, Mr. Lee’s attitude/professionalism, and the estimate (did I mention how reasonable it was!), I decided to go with House Painting Inc. right on the spot.
Mr. Lee was very flexible to the start date that I wanted and his 2-person team showed up promptly as promised.  They were able to complete the full exterior painting (as well as a couple of minor interior patches) within a week.
Overall, they did an EXCELLENT job and I couldn’t be happier.  The amount of time spent on prep work and in fixing/cleaning-up the stucco patches was outstanding.  They protected all the landscaping (plants as well as the new pavers I had just installed) and there were no oversprays or spills anywhere.  They also removed all the gutter downspouts and patched/painted behind them (which it appears the previous painters/owners had not done).
Overall, I am more than pleased with the work performed (have I mentioned how reasonable the price was).  Very professional, high quality, prompt …  all the great adjectives/adverbs you can use (but usually never have the opportunity) to describe a contractor.  I will definitely use Mr. Lee and House Painting Inc. for all my paint jobs in the future.

We bought a new house (about 2400 sq ft, single story) over the summer, and as a result of numerous owners we had a three-tone (maybe four-tone or even five-tone) house, and we wanted to have the entire exterior paints with a single color. We got three bids, all around the same price, including James’ bid from House Painting Inc.

Having done a fair amount of work on our homes in the past, I must say that this was one of the best, if not the best, experience I’ve ever had with home improvement trades. From the minute James bid on the job, until the last touch-up was done, the entire crew was professional, friendly, and obsessed with the quality of the job. Abraham led our crew, and he was beyond words. They painstakingly patched, taped, and prepped for several days – I don’t think anyone could have been more precise about it. We had requested that they use white (actual white, not off-white) for the job, and they were both concerned we would not like the outcome. James even called us the night before the top coat began to make sure we were 100% sure (we were – and we are 100% thrilled with how it came out).
Abraham painted with the kind of care that you would use on your own home, if you had unlimited time to do the job (except he’s a pro, and can move pretty quickly, even while being precise). They ended up taking about 6.5 days for the whole house. The night before they finished, our dogs put some scratches one of the exterior doors that had been painted. Abraham noticed the next morning, and we assured him it wasn’t his fault and he shouldn’t have to fix it. He insisted on it, saying he didn’t want to leave without knowing that we were completely satisfied.
I don’t think I would ever consider using another painting contractor on future project.

Mr. James Lee and his crew painted the exterior of our house including a detached garage.

Mr. Lee’s crew showed up exactly when they said they would. In fact, I got an estimate 4 months prior and had to wait to start the job. When I called to finally start the project, they scheduled for the very next morning. His crew of three showed up in the morning and started by prepping the house. They taped off everything not being painted. They even wrapped up all the plants! They were professional, neat and accommodating. I have two dogs that needed potty breaks through the day! Each day they wrapped up, cleaned up, and put their supplies away. It took two days to do all the prep work. I had a lot of damaged trim. Two days to paint. They were very detail oriented. Not a speck of paint landed on any ground or plant. They did amazing work. My house looks amazing. I would highly recommend them!!
