I initially looked up Angie’s List for a reputable house painter but the reviews were lacking. Not enough review for me to make a sound decision. It’s a paid service but I just can trust it because they hounded me for reviews on businesses I had looked up but not used.
I turned to good ole Yelp and came upon James Lee House Painting. With the solid 5 stars ratings, I decided to contact the company. James came out to give me a quote. He arrived on time, walked around the property, jotted down notes, showed me his business license and insurance, and left. His office called about 20 minutes later to give me a quote. It was higher than what I had budgeted but still workable.
I couldn’t have James started right away because I was having work done around the front and back of the house. His office called regularly to check on the status. I was finally ready to have James started a week ago. He sent his brother, Sung, to start last Monday. Initially, I was a bit reprehensive because Sung’s English was limited. I got a hold of James and commincated directly with him. It was a bit tricky because his private number was not listed. I had to call his office but he always called back within minutes.
The first day was spent on power washing the wall, filling up holes on the stucco wall and wooden trim, and sealing up the windows. The second day was spent on covering the ground around the perimeter of the house. We picked out the colors and Sung test painted them for us to decide. Painting started on Wednesday through Friday. Sung came back early on Saturday to wrap up the remaining. He was done before my family woke up, a ninja painter.
My wife and I are very impressed with the quality of work. The only thing we regret is the stucco color could have been a shade or two lighter. Other than that, it was very well painted. There was no mess and the paint was consistent all throughout. A job well done, Sung. I highly recommend James Lee House Painting.
