A number of years ago, an experienced and highly recommended painter broke dozens of our light-weight clay roof tiles and said they were like walking on “potato chips”. So I put off painting again as long as I could to avoid the inevitable tile repairs (actually, I ended up paying the roofer more than what I paid that painter). So it was with great apprehension when I recently began seeking estimates. When I told the various painting companies of my concern and past experience, most of them said they hoped I saved a lot of tiles for replacement this time around, because they would likely break a number of tiles. HOUSE PAINTING INC. said they had a lot of experience with my type of roof tile and while they couldn’t guarantee that they wouldn’t break some…they would be extremely careful. End result…NOT ONE TILE WAS BROKEN and the paint work performed by Jeff, Chris and their father Oh was OUTSTANDING. I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend them. It was an added bonus to see father and sons working together as a Team.

I can not say enough about how great this company was to work with. The quality of the work is as good as the best I’ve seen and we were contractors ourselves at one time. The workers were all very kind, respectful and polite. They were also very clean and tidy after each day of work. We had gotten several quotes in the past, but James Lee gave the best deal. One of the most surprising things was they did more work than we expected and on top of it, gave us a $200 back after we gave them the full amount! We weren’t even expecting that! I’ve never even heard of any company that has such integrity. The amount of prep work prior to painting was incredible to say the least. James and his team of painters are not only the nicest people to work with but they really do go far and beyond to make sure that the customers are satisfied and that everything was done correctly. They painted the exterior of our house and did a partial for the inside where they painted the living room. Even my very picky Chinese mother in law was in awe of their services. Now she wants them to paint both the exterior and interior of her house. They are the best in town and their prices are VERY reasonable for what you are getting. We will definitely use them again in the future.

They are the best. They really do a wonderful job on prep, and go above and beyond to make sure everything is done properly. They just painted our master bedroom and baseboards. So happy with the results.
We previously hired them to do the exterior of our house. They also did a wonderful job there as well.

Mr. Lee’s crew recently finished painting the duplex that our family owns. Mr. Lee himself came out to view the property and to prepare the estimate. We obtained three bids for the work and Mr. Lee’s bid was tied for the lowest cost. It was the long list of happy customers coupled with the excellent follow-up that convinced us to move forward with James Lee and Housepainting Inc. We are extremely happy that we did! Before the job started we needed to complete other outside work. Mr. Lee’s office called regularly to check in with us to see when we would be ready to schedule so that they would be ready when we were.
The workers assigned to our job were professional, hard-working and did an excellent job. As we all know, with painting good preparation is critical. The woodwork on this property was in terrible condition — peeling, curled, etc. The stucco needed patching in many areas and it was done by the painters in a way that does not appear to be patched. There were areas where repairs were needed to the corner of the building where wood trim was removed. The lead painter was able to fashion and fit the appropriate replacement trim so that the painting could continue without having to call in a carpenter. Sanding was properly done so that the new paint was smooth to appearance on all trim. The lead painter also provided excellent advice when needed. Both he and his assistant worked each day stopping only for lunch and required short breaks.
The finished product is just as we had hoped and the process was a most pleasant one. We wholeheartedly recommend James Lee House Painting and will use them again.

We just had House Painting, Inc. paint the exterior of our house. It had been texture-coated ~25 years ago, so presented more than the usual challenges. These folks were well up to the task.
Mr. Lee came to do the estimate and was very professional in his assessment and suggestions. Mr. Ji, the painter, is a true craftsman, who takes great pride in doing things right. The prep work was meticulous…. sanding, washing, masking. Every day he and his helper thoroughly cleaned up.
The color selection process was also very well handled. Mr. Ji is very knowledgeable about the best way to deal with all the problems encountered.
The follow-up was great, too. We had an area under a bench that had been forgotten, and they came back expeditiously and cheerfully made it right.
I highly recommend them…. not the least expensive, but they do the work right. ( For you “Sweeney Todd” fans….. “A proper artist with a knife/brush”!)

I could not possibly say enough good things about James and his crew. We had the exterior of our house repainted, and the house needed a lot of scraping and prepping. We got several quotes and not only did Jame’s timeline beat everyone else, the price he quoted blew everyone else out of the water. His crew was prompt and polite, they took great care to protect all our plants around the house, and they took care of all kinds of details that I hadn’t even thought of. Just as one example, he stripped and re-stained the wooden threshold of our front door, his idea.
The job has been complete for a couple weeks and it is perfect. I remain completely happy and if you’re looking to get your house done, you should use these guys.
And P.S. He finished the job earlier than he quoted.
