I have never dealt with a more professional contractor. James arrived on time for our estimate. He provided us with copies of his license, work comp insurance and a list of references (with phone numbers). Then, he showed us letters of appreciation from customers and photos of his work. His crew was fast, efficient, clean and courteous. They kept us informed of their progress and what was, and was not, covered by the warranty. Additions to the contract were not a problem and at a reasonable cost…..for labor and materials only…..no change order fee. I would, and have, highly recommend James Lee House Painting. Outstanding workmanship, on time, no surprises. I will use them again in a heartbeat….

I recently had the exterior of my house painted. After reviewing yelp for painters I had narrowed the search down to 3 companies. And figured which ever of the three were the most reasonably priced I’d use there service. James Lee was the company I ended up using. I called for an estimate and the very same day the owner came out and gave me a quote. We set up a date to start the project and things went wonderful! My house looks outstanding and the process was very professional. The workers that came to my house where I think Father and his two sons. They made sure to keep the area they were working very neat and tidy. They were very respectful to our neighbors areas aswell. This company is very punctual and honest I see why they’ve been in business for so many years. And I see why the so highly rated on yelp.

Mr. Lee does do good work, he is prompt, courteous, and is pretty thorough. He explained any potential concerns, which was refreshing. The job was done quickly, the quote was very reasonable, and the quality of work was very respectable. He did go the extra quarter mile in some extras, some patchwork was necessary, and it was executed properly. There were unfortunately a couple minor glitches, two of the windows had paint sealing them shut, nothing that a little effort and a knife couldn’t fix, and an area that wan’t easily accessed wasn’t painted, Mr Lee said he couldn’t get to it, but the estimator (different guy) said no problem. So communication there was off, but aside from that, Mr. James Lee House Painting gets a 4* thumbs up! Nice fella too!

Mr. Lee, just finished painting my home. it has been 20 years since last panted. You will be hard pressed to find a better painter. All of the crew were very nice, when asked if additional work could be done, it was no problem. I would recommend then to my family .they were very clean and neat. They went above and beyond to make the house look great. Get a bid from him.

Absolute 5 star customer service. I called them for a free estimate, James Lee was at my condo exactly in an hour and he was able to to give me an excellent price and start the work the very next day. He was very professional and had a very long list of referrals from satisfied customers.
His team (the lead guy’s name is Kim (super nice person)) was equally impressive and very professional. They arrived at my place early in the morning every day and were able to complete the project in time.
Very impressed by how professional they are.
Amazing job on covering the place up, my whole condo was wrapped in plastic, the blinds were taken down, super clean and neat job!
Pretty good job on painting. I would highly recommend this company

We recently used House Painting to paint the exterior of our house and liked them enough to have them do some additional painting on the inside.
Exterior – guys came on time everyday, communication was kept everyday and told me what they would be doing, completed the work in a timely manner and left things clean for the most part. There are pieces of stucco in flower beds and around, but I realize they can’t get everything. They took the time to go over all of the work and makes sure I was happy and to point out any areas that needed touch up. There was an issue with paint sticking/peeling after painted windows/doors, but they came the next weekend and corrected.
Interior – guys came on time and completed the work in much faster time frame than I anticipated. Work looks great and again they were clean and communicative. I asked them to do some additional painting on a couple of windows which they did and they even fixed some cracks around the window (thank you!)
I would definitely use them again on my next interior/exterior painting needs.

At first I was apprehensive at using Angie’s List for hiring a painting crew, we all know that online services can promise everything and deliver nothing. With that said, I wholeheartedly endorse and will only use House Painting Inc. for any property in the future.
I called the listed number and instantly a real-live person picked up and said the owner, Mr. James Lee, could be at my house to give an estimate within the hour. He was very prompt and professional, and while he may not be the cheapest painter in town, it will come back to you in spades.
We worked with Shin and in the end we just want to take the whole crew out to dinner and say thanks. In the past we have had very shady painting crews execute extremely poor results.
Mr. James Lee quoted us one flat rate (on the same day he visited our home). At first we thought it was a bit pricey, but we didn’t expect was that within this rate, no matter what calamities may occur, he will help.
These are the main reason why YOU should hire House Painting Inc:
1. TRUSTWORTHY- we have many valuable objects in our house and a dog. From day one, we felt extremely comfortable with the crew and even gave Shin a key to access our house when needed.
2. ATTENTION TO DETAIL: Their’s is something we have never seen after painting this house four times.
3. COMMUNICATION- The crew was always there when needed and always unobtrusive. They even took their own trash and threw it away somewhere else, they never used our bathroom and never complained about lack of parking. Every time they entered our house, they removed their shoes (even the owner) and placed surgical booties on to make sure they didn’t track any dirt in our home.
4. ABOVE AND BEYOND- We hired them to paint our house on the exterior. They took the ball and ran with it. They would go to Home Depot and get new paint samples if we requested, fixed our leaking faucets, were at our house to guide the plumbers, mold inspectors, and even AC repair men when we weren’t even there. Shin even entertained our dog while we were at work. Furthermore, Shin would come back, unpaid, to make sure the quality of the OTHER hired contractor’s work was up to snuff.
5. OVERALL- There is a reason why Angie’s List rates House Painting Inc. as NUMBER 1 in Los Angeles. You will feel confident that this is the best paint job you will ever witness .
