Other than a bit pricey, the boss is very quick in responding to inquiries. Trying to accomodate my need to finish earlier NOT by doing things faster (which may compromise the quality) but by starting and working thru weekend..
My wife is happy for the work, and I sold my soul to pay (kidding)

James was awesome. I bought a new loft and had a very tight timeframe before furniture arrived. He was able to come over and give me a quote same day and was able to send a team over the next day. Great quality work and very accommodating.

This review is well overdue. Last year, James Lee House Painting painted and patched my 3200 square foot home in Pasadena, Ca. They were thorough, professional, timely, and respectful of my home. They cleaned up after their work and they stained my baseboards at no extra charge. They were slightly more expensive than the painters I had contracted to paint the outside but believe me if I could do it all over again I would have used James Lee House Painting for the inside and the outside. The other company was not timely, not professional and not respectful of my home. I had to pay another company to fix the tiles the other painters broke on my roof. Thank God there are still professionals like James Lee. They did a superior job.

best painting company ever!
Mr. Lee and his workers are one of the best service I’ve ever had! He came quickly to provide estimate, a really good price. And show up ahead of schedule to get the work going. Through out the process, they were professional, very attentive to my needs, willing to be flexible to accommodate my other remodeling work schedule, keep the work space extremely clean, did a beautiful job, and on top of that, every single one of them are super friendly and easy to work with! I don’t know how I’d ever be able to find any better painting company like them, will definitely use their service and recommend them to my friends! Thank you Mr. Lee and Johnny!! 🙂
I had James Lee House Painting paint/stain the exterior of my house and I am over-the-top pleased and thrilled with the quality of my crew’s (led by Andrew Chang) work. On the first day of work, Andrew appeared and I walked him around the house, pointing out potential issues and difficult areas, he kept saying “Don’t worry, I will make your house beautiful.” Having done a major remodel and had had many contractors over the years, I took a “I hope so, but we’ll see attitude”. Andrew completely delivered on that promise in every way – the quality of the work far exceeded my expectations. He treated my house as if it was his own house – he was not satisfied with anything less than the best possible product.
I have a Cape Cod style house with the exterior covered with cedar shingles. His crew sanded every single shingle – hundreds of them. He patched every imperfection with great care. Some of my older bay windows had trim with dry rot. He replaced the bad trim with new trim, and the angled corners were perfect! My garage had a bent up wire mesh halfway covering a vent. He found new mesh and replaced it. My house numbers had been painted over by my last painter – he took them down, painted them the right color and replaced them on his own initiative. He suggested that he paint the gutter downspouts the same color as the house – “It will be more beautiful!” and he was right, it was more beautiful.
If you would like an A++ quality paint job, especially if your house has issues and you want someone to do it right, go with James Lee House Painting. They are the best contractors of any type I have ever dealt with.

Mr. James Lee’s House Painting staff performed professionally, responsibly, promptly and at a very competitive price. We’ve had the exterior painted twice before by other painters, but were always a bit displeased with the preparation and final outcome. This time we have no complaints. We had an excellent experience. Neighbors were impressed with the quality and professional work. Abraham was especially wonderful to have working on the exterior of our home. He even tactfully commented on our old weathered outside light fixtures. I purchase 2 from Home Depot and Abraham installed them for free. Although Mr. Lee had given us the painting proposal last year, he stuck to his original estimate and his staff did wonderful work. Outstanding.

I just had James Lee House Painting complete more work for me and as usual, it was top-notch! I called James on a Monday to see if he might be able to take a job on short notice. I wanted to have my family room an dining room painted. As with the last time I called him, he returned my call promptly and was at my house that evening to take a look at what I wanted completed. Later in the evening he sent over a quote that was detailed and at a great price. He was able to have a few of his guys over later in the week and they subsequently completed the entire job in about six hours, which included all prepping and removing the blinds. As per usual, the guys were professional and efficient and did a perfect job. I could not be more pleased in the detail to work and true professionalism of this company. I could never and would never use anybody else as long as Mr. Lee is still in the business of painting.

James Lee’s paint crew just finished painting the eaves and fascia boards on my house, and I couldn’t be happier. My house looks great! James came out and gave a fair estimate within a day of contacting him. Abraham and his co-worker (sorry that I don’t know his name) did an excellent job. They took great care in prepping, sanding, scraping and painting. They take pride in their work and it shows. They were hard working, friendly, courteous, and respectful of my property. Usually I watch guys working on my house (once bitten, twice shy), but I felt so comfortable with these guys that I didn’t have to. They clean up at the end of each day, and when the job is over – you would never have known that they were there as everything is clean and in its place.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a painter.

I just had James and his crew paint my house and I could not be more pleased. They are thorough and meticulous in their prepping, scraping, sanding, patching, etc. They were tolerant of my indecisiveness on paint color and overall did a beautiful job.

This review is 5 stars but not for the usual reasons… very professional and careful crew of Jae and Carlos, looks great… you’ve read that before. No, this is 5 stars because things did not go right due to a communication mix up but James promptly and courteously made it right. It could have been unpleasant but was not. It’s easy to give 5 stars when everything goes right, but the true test is when it does not… and James did a 5 star job!
He will be the first and hopefully only call I make when it’s time for the exterior to be painted.
