Exterior stucco repair and stucco painting
Very easy to work with, helpful, neat. One of 2 good painter choices but (slightly) less expensive so went with them. 1800 sq ft house needed only stucco painted – 2.5-day job. Worked within my schedule, great crew.

Painted the entire exterior of the house, the garage, and the garden walls and structures; painted the interior hallway and one bedroom.
The company had two separate crews, one for inside and one for outside. Everyone was very flexible with our somewhat disjointed schedule and worked around us efficiently enough to get the jobs done quickly. The paint jobs inside and out are clean, neat, and very thorough. The painters never asked us to do anything; they moved all the furniture inside and replaced it (even reconnecting the earthquake straps for the big bookcases); they moved all the plants and furniture and screens outside and put them all back when the job was done; they covered everything that needed to be covered with plastic, tape, etc. and bound up the plants. And before they painted they prepped everything very thoroughly, scraping, priming, washing, filling. In the end, the house looks gorgeous and we’re very satisfied with the quality of the work. We’d definitely call them again.

They painted the exterior of my home.
They had a crew of three working on the house. They completed the work in about a week which was in the time frame specified. They did more than I thought they would including framing and installing a door next to my fireplace where the ashes are collected. I am satisfied with their service and will be using them in the future for interior painting.

They stained most of the exterior T&G cedar siding on my house.
The sides of the house with south and west exposure was in terrible shape and after House Painting finished the job it looks absolutely beautiful. I expect it will stay that way for a good long time.

Excellent company! I highly recommend them.
Recently, I had insulation blown into the walls of my 1939 house in Altadena. As part of the work, the technicians had to drill through the exterior stucco about every 3 feet, in both the upper and lower sections, followed by patching the holes. So, the exterior of my house looked like swiss cheese when they were done. Unfortunately, the insulation guys didn’t do a very good job with the stucco patches, so I knew I’d need a very good painter to make my house look good again.
Two different friends recommended James Lee (House Painting Inc.), so I looked him up on Angie’s List as well as Yelp and saw all the glowing reviews. I called for an estimate and got the response, “we can come by this afternoon if you are available” – talk about prompt service. Mr. Lee walked the exterior, we discussed the level of stucco repair/clean-up needed, and he provided me a more-than-reasonable estimate on the spot. I was so pleased with the reviews, Mr. Lee’s attitude/professionalism, and the estimate (did I mention how reasonable it was!), I decided to go with House Painting Inc. right on the spot.
Mr. Lee was very flexible to the start date that I wanted and his 2-person team showed up promptly as promised. They were able to complete the full exterior painting (as well as a couple of minor interior patches) within a week.
Overall, they did an EXCELLENT job and I couldn’t be happier. The amount of time spent on prep work and in fixing/cleaning-up the stucco patches was outstanding. They protected all the landscaping (plants as well as the new pavers I had just installed) and there were no oversprays or spills anywhere. They also removed all the gutter downspouts and patched/painted behind them (which it appears the previous painters/owners had not done).
Overall, I am more than pleased with the work performed (have I mentioned how reasonable the price was). Very professional, high quality, prompt … all the great adjectives/adverbs you can use (but usually never have the opportunity) to describe a contractor. I will definitely use Mr. Lee and House Painting Inc. for all my paint jobs in the future.

We bought a new house (about 2400 sq ft, single story) over the summer, and as a result of numerous owners we had a three-tone (maybe four-tone or even five-tone) house, and we wanted to have the entire exterior paints with a single color. We got three bids, all around the same price, including James’ bid from House Painting Inc.
Having done a fair amount of work on our homes in the past, I must say that this was one of the best, if not the best, experience I’ve ever had with home improvement trades. From the minute James bid on the job, until the last touch-up was done, the entire crew was professional, friendly, and obsessed with the quality of the job. Abraham led our crew, and he was beyond words. They painstakingly patched, taped, and prepped for several days – I don’t think anyone could have been more precise about it. We had requested that they use white (actual white, not off-white) for the job, and they were both concerned we would not like the outcome. James even called us the night before the top coat began to make sure we were 100% sure (we were – and we are 100% thrilled with how it came out).
Abraham painted with the kind of care that you would use on your own home, if you had unlimited time to do the job (except he’s a pro, and can move pretty quickly, even while being precise). They ended up taking about 6.5 days for the whole house. The night before they finished, our dogs put some scratches one of the exterior doors that had been painted. Abraham noticed the next morning, and we assured him it wasn’t his fault and he shouldn’t have to fix it. He insisted on it, saying he didn’t want to leave without knowing that we were completely satisfied.
I don’t think I would ever consider using another painting contractor on future project.

They did such a good job and their price so reasonable, we decided to hire the again.

Mr. James Lee and his crew painted the exterior of our house including a detached garage.
Mr. Lee’s crew showed up exactly when they said they would. In fact, I got an estimate 4 months prior and had to wait to start the job. When I called to finally start the project, they scheduled for the very next morning. His crew of three showed up in the morning and started by prepping the house. They taped off everything not being painted. They even wrapped up all the plants! They were professional, neat and accommodating. I have two dogs that needed potty breaks through the day! Each day they wrapped up, cleaned up, and put their supplies away. It took two days to do all the prep work. I had a lot of damaged trim. Two days to paint. They were very detail oriented. Not a speck of paint landed on any ground or plant. They did amazing work. My house looks amazing. I would highly recommend them!!

Prepped, painted, and stained a two story deck.
They arrived on time as scheduled, the supervisor was friendly and helpful. After they prepped the deck, rain was in the forecast so they covered the entire area with plastic sheeting to protect it – and yes, it did rain. They returned a few days later to paint and stain; they were patient when I considered changing something at the last minute and were able to acquire a replacement board in an unusual size that needed to be replaced. Our deck was not protected properly when it was built by the previous owner so it was a bit of an eyesore and challenging to prep. We were concerned about how it might turn out but It looks beautiful and our neighbors have commented on the improved curb appeal. You get what you pay for, meticulous work and the full attention of the crew and supervisor while your work is being done – plus once they are done the only thing left behind is the beautiful result.
